Celebrating 50 Years of MBE Advancement

Welcome

As the President & CEO of the New York & New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council, I’m thrilled to welcome you to the first major Signature event of our 50th Anniversary year: The Business Opportunity Exchange.

We’ve worked hard to make sure today’s program is packed with new opportunities and relevant information for our members, but I would be remiss in my duties l if I did not first take this opportunity to thank our generous sponsors for this event: Cigna and BNY Mellon, our gracious hosts. Your support for today’s event—and for The Council in general—is greatly appreciated and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the years to come.

“Amplifying Opportunities, Fostering Growth” is the official theme for our 50th Anniversary year. It also perfectly encompasses our mission today: to provide you with the opportunity to learn from leading diversity officers and minority suppliers so we can help foster growth in your existing business network.

It’s a mission that is at the heart of what The Council does—and one that will come up again and again throughout the year. But today, we hope you explore new ideas, build your skills with hands-on workshops, and succeed in forging new relationships with other members in our network.

Thank you so much for your support at this years’ Business Opportunity Exchange. I hope you enjoy today’s program and I’m excited to celebrate with you all later at the BOE Reception.

Sincerely,

Terrence Clark, President & CEO
