A MESSAGE FROM THE COUNCIL PRESIDENT
In August, the New York and New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council continues its efforts to initiate programs and events that enhance its corporate members and certified MBEs. On Tuesday, August 4th, we will host our 2nd annual “An Evening of Networking at the Ballpark.” This exciting event serves as an invaluable informal networking opportunity in a fun environment for our corporate members and certified MBEs to develop lasting relationships. The event will be held at Yankee Stadium, and will feature a game between long-time division rivals — the Yankees and
Red Soxs. Register now at www.nynjcouncilnetworking.com for this great opportunity. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Council is also introducing several financing program options that MBEs and those in our corporate members’ supply chains can access. These programs will provide additional options for accounts receivable and debt financing. More detailed information on the programs will be provided in a separate special communication to all of our corporate members and MBEs. We will highlight the Accounts receivable financing program administered by Prestige Capital at a special seminar on Tuesday, August 11th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 am at The Council’s office. We urge you to attend this seminar and find out more about what financing options are available to further enhance your business growth. You do not want to miss this seminar.
On Wednesday, August 5th we will hold our Quarterly Corporate Meeting from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Pfizer Inc. headquarters. The meeting will be a Supplier Diversity Program Managers Roundtable and the topic of this session will be: How Supplier Diversity Translates into Shareholder Value and Corporate Competitive Advantage. We have a dynamic panel of speakers lined up who will participate in a focused discussion on topics relevant to promoting business growth and the continued development of the supplier diversity programs of our corporate members. We encourage all of our corporate members to come out and learn from this panel of experts and from each other. You do not want to miss this opportunity to share best practices.
The Council is working hard to provide educational and business opportunities for its members and constituents. We greatly appreciate your continued participation and support. Enjoy August and the rest of your summer, and stay tuned for more exciting programs and events from The Council in the coming months.
