“Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

— Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Happy New Year! 2018 has arrived and we here at the Council send you our very best wishes for peace, prosperity, and happiness. Last year, our innovative programs and events highlighted business opportunities for our certified minority business enterprises (MBEs), while strengthening diverse supplier relationships between Council certified MBEs and our corporate members. This year, we have much more in store. 2018 marks our 45th anniversary and we are excited to celebrate it with you!

As we reflect upon the life of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we are reminded to push forward and grow our business enterprises and supplier diversity programs one step at a time. Dr. King’s principles of non-violence, his remarkable leadership, and his fearless conviction that our nation is in fact a “Beloved Community” are guideposts that continue to shore up our society and help pave the way for equality. At the Council, we share Dr. King’s beliefs and are committed to developing productive and rewarding relationships between our corporate members and MBEs.

We know that positive outcomes and sustainable associations are realized one step at a time. During this 45th anniversary year, we will adhere to Dr. King’s timeless lessons and continue to certify, develop, connect and advocate for Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native -American businesses located throughout the state of New York and Northern and Central New Jersey and those corporate supplier diversity programs that support them.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to making our 45th anniversary year, the best year yet!
