The Council’s Sustainability Symposium is a half day event focused on sustainability in the supply chain. The Symposium brings together like minded individuals from Fortune 500 companies, government and academia in order to discuss the importance of incorporating sustainability initiatives into supply chain business practices.

Sustainability initiatives often lag behind human resources, technology, marketing and other growth strategies explored by minority firms. The reason is not necessarily that sustainability is not important to the firm, but rather that it may not be considered as ‘pressing’ as other matters. Why, then, should minority businesses care about sustainability? The answer is simple: if you are part of the supply chain, then sustainability will impact your business.
