An immigrant from Colombia, Liliana “Lili” Gil Valletta is an award-winning entrepreneur, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, TV media contributor and President/ CEO of XL Alliance. XL is the strategy and marketing firm that companies hire to unlock the power of today’s multicultural markets. With a unique team of 50+ strategic planning, marketing and digital professionals representing over a dozen countries, XL knows how to turn cultural trends into opportunities and profits.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Lili had a successful corporate career at organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, where she served as Global Marketing Services Director. During her ten-year tenure at J&J, she became the youngest female executive, pioneered multicultural marketing initiatives for the corporation and cofounded the Hispanic Employee Resource Group HOLA.
Companies Lili has advised and impacted include The Coca-Cola Company, Diageo, Kroger Co, Post Foods, Ralph Lauren Fragrances, PepsiCo, Prestige Brands, Novartis, Merck, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, and Univision. She is an independent TV contributor to Fox News, CNN en Español, among other networks analyzing the role of minorities, women and overall diversity in business and politics. She is also the recipient of many industry awards and is an active member of the Harvard Women’s Leadership Board, the YMCA USA Board of Directors and Corporate Advisory Board to the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families. Lili holds a degree in Business from Southwestern Adventist University and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She has also completed post-graduate studies in Global Leadership and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University. Lili lives in New York City with her husband entrepreneur and former NFL football player Chris Valletta and her two sons.
